Foldable bike
A funny picture to start off the post.
Anyway, this is bike we bought from Giant. Dont we all love Giant, they sell everything!
Bought these two bikes for about $180 each. Not cheap lor.
But oh well, both of us love it!

We were trying to fix the bikes onto the bicycle racks.
But fail...
In the end, we just put it into the van itself. Hehe.

We went straight to bedok reservoir for a ride. And best of all, Ikea was there too!
And surprisingly, she love to sit in the basket we got specially for her. And she enjoys it man! Maybe it the same way why seh enjoys sticking her head out of the vehicle when baby;s driving!
Oh ya, baby got this for me. Its baby pooh! Aint it cute? I have so so many softtoys at home already. And if really one day, we move in together, you know where all those soft toys is going to be right? :p
Baby put everything together, including the basket, thte flowers and the purple thingy. Its so pretty!!

But change our mind and a few days back, we went to buy each other a foldable bicycle as an advance pressie!!
Its weird huh, bicycle for an annivesary. But I think its a cool idea.
And come to think of it, during these 4 years of the relationship, we never even cycle together before. Its something new to us I guess. :p
Took some photos of the bike but I am a little lazy to post it up, maybe tomorrow or something.
Haven decide what to do yet for the 10th. But I am definitely looking forward to it!
Exams are coming... Damn sian leh.
Why cant I be smart like Albert Einstein....
Ohhh yay, CNY! Iove my AngBaos this year, pretty fat! I like!

The Mayonnaise Jar
When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day is not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very largeand empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.
He then asked the students again if the jar was full.
They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full.
The students responded with an unanimous 'yes.'
The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand.
The students laughed.
'Now,' said the professor,
as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things - God, family, children, health, friends, and favorite passions -- things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.''
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.''
The sand is everything else -- the small stuff.
''If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.
''If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
''So... pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play With your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.'
'There will always be time to clean the house
And fix the disposal.
''Take care of the golf balls first -- the things that really matter.
Set your priorities.
The rest is just sand.
'One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.
The professor smiled. 'I'm glad you asked.
''It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'

Jia all alone
Car wash and wax
So use to talking to baby everynight for at least a few hours before we sleep, I hate new years sometime. Although the Ang Bao part was rather tempting, but sian la, can only see baby on Chu Er.
And Ikea is sleeping over at my place tonight. And tomorrow morning, gonna walk her back to baby's place. I got the keys to his place la. Haiz... Bedok Reservoir to Hougang, wonder if I can really make it that far. Or rather can Ikea walk that far. And this whole sleeping over thing will repeat till baby come home. Mother doesnt want Ikea over the whole day cuz Ikea is too hyper active, she cant stand it.
Super sian leh.. Come back faster leh...
Anyway, something we did last week.
Initial place was to send the vehicle down to some car place to ask them to wax the van for the new year. But end up, we both agree that doing it ourselves will be a more economical and fun way, though more of the economical side la. Heh. We head down to Mustafa one night and bought all the necessary stuffs for the wax and started doing it a few days after.
So, we found ourselves a nice mutli storey carpark, park the van at the washing bay and started our long tiring "journey"
We even set up a little table to put all the car washing and waxing equipments. We look like a professional washer la. Hehehe. So funny.
Ohhh, ya, the night before, we froze a big bottle of mango cordial in the freezer. So in the morning, we can have cold mango juice thru out the whole day till the ice melts. Aint we smart? You got to give us credit for that man.. Super duper smart of us la. :p
The wax and spray detailer we bought.
We started for washing the vehicle first, then vacumming all the interior and finally the waxing part.Goodness, it is not easy I tell you. All together, we spend a good 5-6 hours there doing everything. Waxing is the hardest and it takes up majourity of the time. We were so exhausted after that man.
But the results was very satisfactory. Its nice and shiny and we are both so proud of it.
But, we are both not going to do it again, its so tiring and tedious okay?
Next year, we are just going to send it to someone to do it for us.

Two Horses
Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it.
From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing....
Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him. This alone is amazing.
If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field. Attached to the horse's halter is a small bell.
It lets the blind friend know where the other horse is, so he can follow.
As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see that the horse with the bell is always checking on the blind horse, and that the blind horse will listen for the bell and then slowly walk to where the other horse is, trusting that he will not be led astray.
When the horse with the bell returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, it stops occasionally and looks back, making sure that the blind friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.
Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges.
He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need..
Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives.
Other times we are the guide horse, helping others to find their way....
Good friends are like that... You may not always see them, but you know they are always there.
And remember...
Be kinder than necessary
Everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly......
Leave the rest to God
Excuse me are u Jesus??
A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in Chicago. They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night's dinner. In their rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly-missed boarding.
ALL BUT ONE!!! He paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned. He told his buddies to go without him, waved good-bye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor.
He was glad he did. The 16-year-old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her; no one stopping and no one to care for her plight..
The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket.
When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, 'Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?'
She nodded through her tears. He continued on with, 'I hope we didn't spoil your day too badly.'
As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him, 'Mister.... Excuse me,'
He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes.
She continued, 'Are you Jesus?'
He stopped in mid-stride, and he wondered. Then slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in his soul: 'Are you Jesus?' Do people mistake you for Jesus?
That's our destiny, is it not? To be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world that is blind to His love, life and grace.
If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would. Knowing Him is more than simply quoting Scripture and going to church. It's actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day.
You are the apple of His eye even though we, too, have been bruised by a fall. He stopped what He was doing and picked up you and me on a hill called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit.

Hachiko
It is based on a true story. The Japanese felt that the dog was so loyal that they built a statue at the spot where he always waited for the owner. The dog even died at the spot okay.
I wshed that Jiajia was half like that man. hahah.

JIajia
That day we learn something new about her again. Baby pretent to be drowning, he started to splash around in the water and keep shouting and calling Jiajia. Jia then knew something was wrong, maybe she can feel it, I dont know. She then start barking furiously, and attempted to jump into the water, thou you know she is so scared of it. In the end, she slipped and fell inside, and started swimming over to baby, and started licking baby's face after that. Isnt she a sweetheart? That makes you love her even more man.
Even though, she cant really save you, but you know in times of trouble, she will bark loudly and help you alert someone.
Bought her back to the vehicle and being her, she hates to be wet, tried to clean herself on her blue micro-fibre towel.
Cute hor.... :p
Maybe you guys think that there are way too many post about Ikea and just dont understand why our life revolve around her so much. Maybe you all feel that she is nothing but just a dog.
If you all think that way, I dont blame you.
But Ikea to us, she more than a dog. She becoming to be like human. I know a lot of dog owners will say that too. But our JiaJia is different. If you really know her personally, she is totally adorable.
Appearance wise, she is super cute, you all have to agree with me on that. When we bring her out, we got lots of compliments from strangers. And if those dont recongnise her breed (Wired-hair Jack Russell Terrier), they will just label her as "Sparky" the starhub dog. But i beg to differ, she way much more cuter than that. :p
She is not a flower vase okay? She got "liao" one.
When we first brought her home, her toilet training took probably like maybe 3-4 months, and now she is 100% accurate. It is not even 99.99% okay? Everytime she peed, she will run to you, very bouncy and very happy, all you need to do is to walk over to her newspaper and while clearing it just say:"Jiajia sheee sheee ah, good girl!" She wont even wait for you, she will run over to the dining table, and look at her treat box. And the funny part is she wants to get a reward from everyone in the house. She joker la!!
As for the number of tricks she knows, she is amazing. She pick them up super duper fast. The simpler trick like "shake hand" took her one day to master. The little bit more complicated ones like maybe "turn turn"(spin in circle) and "hello"(waving her paw) took 2-3 days. And that is amazingly fast. For non-dog owners, dogs they dont understand what you want them to do. But with a lot of practise, and using treats to lure them into the actions you want them to do takes a lot of time and patient.
There was one trick the "Whisper" makes her champion already. Whisper is to make small whining sounds and she knows that by whispering, she can get what she wants. So now, she is starting to force you to play fetch with her. She will bring her ball to you, look at you and start to whisper until you throw her ball for her to go get it back. She just keep doing that until she is tired. That little ass!
Oh yah, ever wonder why Ikea is also called Jiajia? You see, Ikea sounds like "Yi Jia" in chinese, so we call her Jiajia. "Yi Jia" means one family in chinese. And she is really like that. She is super "teh". When the whole family is out, one of them leave her, she will whine and whine like crazy, and start barking in the high pitch voice like trying to tell you to come back. How cute is that?
Before we got her, me and baby wanted a dog that is rugged not the lady lady kind, a dog that can run, can swim, can jump, not scared of anything, and of course well behaved la. And we got what we wanted, and a little something more. She is a cross between a dog, monkey and a cat. Hahahahah!
You can just look at her and smile at yourself knowing how lucky you are to have her. She is so quick to forgive, and so eager to please.
And I am not shy to say that went I am out with her, I feel so proud walking her. And I bet baby feel the same way too.
I'm tired and my fingers are freezing under the aircon. But you know I could just go on and on about her all day long.
There is a reason why we spend so much time on her, a reason why she has so much toys, so much treats and so much attention from everyone.

Palawan
Woke up in the late morning and started making lunch boxes so that we can save money while have fun. Food turned out to be kinda nice. I mean that what I hope to believe. There is sushi rice, dumplings, sasuages, egg, mee pok aand some some chicken. We even brought our own drinks there! Its a picnic day!
Drove to Palawan beach, park our ass at some nice corner, while shouting at Ikea for being so excited. Didnt bring any valuables down as we are worried that it might go missing. Actually our intention was to bring the dog for a swim, so we wont be at our spot all the time. So no photos! Booboo!
Once we switch Ikea's leash into the retractable one, we walk her to the water. She seems a little wary at first, but with some encouragment, she walked courageously into the water and started to dog paddle.
Remember also some time back, we brought her to the doggie pool at Pasir Ris Farmway, she totally freaked out and all she wanted was to get out of the pool. That poor girl was whining and swimming. BUT NOW! ITS DIFFERENT! She walked in all by herself and swam like a fish! So proud of her. Baby went played catching with her, running on the sand, and into the water, and Ikea did not even hesitate, she just pound on the water.
Weather turned bad after a while and we decided to pack up and leave. We had a tired day, and i believe Ikea feels the same. She was nappy when we drove home.
Baby, we go there again soon alright? I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
I bet Ikea is so super tired now. Hehehhe!
