Missing Barky

Barky was missing for the past few days.
We thought our worst fear had came true, she was being knocked down by a vehicle.

And yesterday, when we were feeding the rest of the them, Barky reappeared.
At the corner of my eyes, i saw something brown. And Barky was the only one with brown patches! We were so damn happy la! She's back!!

While she bellied for us, we were stroking her, and realised she had stiches on her tummy! She was sterlized! And her ear was clipped too! So AVA actually caught her back to sterilized her, kept her for a few days and brought her back here!

Good la. She cannot have babies! Its better for herself anyway.

Awwww!!! Anyway, I am so so happy she back! At least all my babies are safe!!! :)

a day all about jia

Monday.
A day that is all about our jiajia.

We went over to Pasir Ris PetMovers. Baby's mom wanted to buy some treat for the doggie. And jiajia's milk running out too.

It was a weekday, and it was pretty quiet. We set jiajia free at the dog run area to let her run a around for a bit. She just so damn princess la. Weather was very hot, and naturally after running she gets very thirsty. There was a bowl of water there, left behind by some other dog owner. Jia went over to the water bowl, lick the water then run away. But she came back shortly after, drinking two more mouth of it. You could almost see the thought bubble. From young she doesn't like to drink other dog's water maybe because of the saliver taste. But at that point of time, she must be thinking: "No choice, i'm thirty. " hahaha. Super duper cute la.

Left the place after that. And went over to a pet cafe around balestier area for lunch. A pet cafe is a place where they sell food for you and your furry friends.

We ordered meat balls for jiajia. And for us, some western food. The human food wasn't exactly fantastic. But its just a novelty idea, dining with your dog, literally.

It was fun la and will definitely go back there again. Will upload photos soon!

That,s it for now. My fingers are aching already. I'm blogging in class with my phone man. Heh.

Doggies!

A pretty rose to start off the post.

Baby got me this sweet little rosey. It was a very pleasant surprise. Thanks honey!!!

*****WARNING*****

*****DOGGIES PHOTOS AGAIN****

To remind all of your how cute JiaJia was. This was when she was still a puppy, she so small, with biggie head.

My little darling baby.. :D
Haven had time to bring her out, baby is so busy.
She love Bishan Dog Run, and i feel so contented just seeing her running around playing fetch. She always behave like a little girl when she is there. And somehow or rather, she seems to know when she is reaching. Before we get off the van, she will start making small whinning noises. And when we had to leave the dog run, she is always so reluctant. Head looking back at and we had to drag her

Fed the dogs today again.

This time round i got better luck with the photos.
Sparky number two!

Mr Blackie!

When we were feeding them today, this guy stop and talk to us. We realise he was in charge for one of the workshops there. He even told us if we want the dogs we can take them. I wish i could man. If i have a big compound i will take all 4 of them back.

He even told us there is more puppies in his workshop, if we want we can go in the day and ask his worker to let us feed them!!! :D

Heavy Photos Post

Went to another drive-in cinema last saturday. This time round was nearer to the east side.

However, the movie didnt manage to happen as it started to rain.
Thou we didnt manage to catch the show, it was hell of an experience.

So you can see, the screening area was on a big big field.

So what happen when it start to rain was that the soil get really soft and muddy. And when everyone start to drive off, the wheels got stuck. There is no friction at all. And the best of all, baby's van is one of them.

Luckily there were some guys around and they help to push the vehicle. And slowly, we manage to get off the muddy area.

It was quite funny actually. Alot of vehicles were stuck. Hahaha. Was something not everyone get to experience.

Cant wait for the next drive in. Its really really interested. Wonder when they will start charging for the drive in. :(

Random-ness: Jiajia Photos.
She love belly rubs. From everyone. :) Cute little darling.

Oh ya, remember I was talking about the strays. Went to feed them today again!
They are so so cute! Manage to snap some photos of them today.

We even gave them names.

These two are "barky" and "fatty". "Barky" as what the name suggest is really very barky. A little bit of noise will set her barking non stop. And we are suspecting that "fatty" is the mother of them all. She looks pregnant(and fat). Hope to see puppies soon!

Okay, this is "Fatty" again.

Barky is the one with the ghostly green eyes. Crap, it would be a nice photo if i had snap it better. If u se clearly, there is one more behind, we name that "Greedy". It is always the last one standing when it comes to food.

Barky and Greedy look really alike but Barky has a brown spot at the head like Ikea and Greedy has a black one. ")

Didnt manage to take a photo of "Blackie", he is a all black dog. Really skinny and really timid. Maybe thats why he is skinny. Till now, he is the only one that is still afraid to eat from the hand.

Hope to see them soon again!! :D

Dont you love them too???

Feeding Strays Dogs.

Its been a while since i blog about something.

Anyway, have been feeding stray dogs these few days.
Now I understand why people feed strays cats.
There is a strong sense of satisfaction.

It started when one day baby happen to drive past some industrial areas, and we saw some doggies around there. They were pretty cute actually, and they definitely have some Jack Russell blood in them. So they actually look abit look abit like our Ikea.
In the vehicle there is a can of dog wet food, so we decided to open up for them to eat.

The next day, when i went to work, i just bought some commercial brands dog dry and wet food. Its cheap la compared to what Ikea is eating. But I also cannot afford to feed them everyday very broke man. But I will try to do it once in awhile if possible.

The doggies were so cute, though they still dont allow me to pet them, but I believe if I go there more often, eventually they will let me.

There were 5 of them, one look like the mother and its seems pregnant. Maybe 1-2 months later, there will be more puppies!!!

I felt so happy. :D

Oh man. Love the movie!!

Drive In Cinema

Went for a drive-in cinema show yesterday at Tanjiong Rhu View.

It is our first time there and the experience there was awesome!
The show starts at 8pm, they advise us to reach at 7pm, as parking is based on first come first served.
So we reached at about 6 plus, as we wanted to get a good lot. We even prepared food!!

See! The big blowed up screen!

The blue mat is for people that doesnt have a vehicle, you can still come and enjoy the movie.

We were glad that we came early, we got the front lots, so there will be no one blocking our view.

By around 7 plus, there were so mang vehicles already. It even looks like a car show room!

So the movie started and I managed to snap a photo through the van.

Did I tell you about the audio of the movie?
Its damn pretty amazing... You tune in from your radio frequency to whatever they tell you, and you will received the sound through your vehicle!
Those that doesnt drive, its alright, bring a radio and tune in accordingly!!

Its quite a private event, cant remember how baby came across it. But you have to registered first before they will email you with all the details of the screening.

And you know, what is the best part??

ITS FREE!!!!!!

Ikea bag.

I think its been a while since I last blogged.

Exams are over, but I have started working again.
Love all the cheap and free stuffs I am getting. Hehehe~

Anyway, some photos of our Jia again.

I love her big round eyes. And all the long hair around her ears area. People often asked if we left cut it on purpose. but NO, its all natural. Thats why she is simply so cute~!

And that also explains why we often spend so much on her..

Got her a EzyDog backpack recently! So she can carry all her stuffs, like maybe her toy, her waterbowl, her wet wipes. And the backpack double off as a harness too..

And we spend about 70 over on this backpack, and that was after my staff discount of 25%.

But me and baby totally love it!

LOOK! Just like a working dog. :D Full of ruggedness and robustness.

If any of your had second opinion about this bag or wondering if we are being cruel to the dog by asking her to carry stuffs.

Maybe your can try doing some research, dogs can carry up to 25-30% of their own weight. So it is perfectly save for them.

Next thing that we are going to buy will be the ruffwear shoes to complete the look and of course it is for practical purpose. Not like some ugly shih tzu wearing a clothings and ugly shoes.

Her shoes will be able to tahan her in rough terain, so that her paws will not get hurt. And it gives her a better grip when she is walking.
This is how it look like, not sissy looking at all.
But no one carry it in singapore, and we have to import it ourselves. And will cost up to 100 or even more..

Money money come to me.... Money money come to me....

Jia opening door

Our little jiajia have learned how to open the door!
Baby taught her and she picked it up in about 15 mins!

Now she is going in and out of the room as she wish. Damn cute can?!!

Going into the room wasn't a problem, she can easily push open the door with her paw.
As the room door tends to close by itself, once she is in the room, and when she wants to get out, she will be stuck till the next person come in.

The stupid thing is she doesnt know how to bark to alert us that she is stuck in the room. Just quietly sit down and stare at the door as if it will miraclely open. Well, at least that is what she believe.

Anyway, a door like that is considered very heavy for her. Luckily, she have very strong jaws due to the constant playing of tug-a-war with her, and all the countless bones we gave her.

Did a few adjustment to the door, and taught her how to pull open it.

So smart lor that Jia.

Will take a video of it, and upload it soon to share!

You all got to see this little amazing girl.

Next trick: Gonna teach her how to keep her toys into her toybox.

At least all these are practical tricks but its not going to be easy.

:D

Foldable bike

So, I have transfer the photos overs to my com.

A funny picture to start off the post.

Anyway, this is bike we bought from Giant. Dont we all love Giant, they sell everything!

Bought these two bikes for about $180 each. Not cheap lor.

But oh well, both of us love it!

We were trying to fix the bikes onto the bicycle racks.

But fail...

In the end, we just put it into the van itself. Hehe.

We went straight to bedok reservoir for a ride. And best of all, Ikea was there too!

And surprisingly, she love to sit in the basket we got specially for her. And she enjoys it man! Maybe it the same way why seh enjoys sticking her head out of the vehicle when baby;s driving!

Oh ya, baby got this for me. Its baby pooh! Aint it cute? I have so so many softtoys at home already. And if really one day, we move in together, you know where all those soft toys is going to be right? :p

Baby put everything together, including the basket, thte flowers and the purple thingy. Its so pretty!!

Monday, February 22, 2010

Was actually planning to go on a short holiday on the 10th of March for our 4th yr anni.

But change our mind and a few days back, we went to buy each other a foldable bicycle as an advance pressie!!

Its weird huh, bicycle for an annivesary. But I think its a cool idea.
And come to think of it, during these 4 years of the relationship, we never even cycle together before. Its something new to us I guess. :p

Took some photos of the bike but I am a little lazy to post it up, maybe tomorrow or something.

Haven decide what to do yet for the 10th. But I am definitely looking forward to it!

Exams are coming... Damn sian leh.
Why cant I be smart like Albert Einstein....

Ohhh yay, CNY! Iove my AngBaos this year, pretty fat! I like!

The Mayonnaise Jar

The Mayonnaise Jar

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day is not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very largeand empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full.

They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full.

The students responded with an unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand.

The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor,
as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things - God, family, children, health, friends, and favorite passions -- things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.''

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.''
The sand is everything else -- the small stuff.

''If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.

The same goes for life.

''If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

''So... pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play With your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.'

'There will always be time to clean the house
And fix the disposal.

''Take care of the golf balls first -- the things that really matter.
Set your priorities.
The rest is just sand.

'One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled. 'I'm glad you asked.

''It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'

Jia all alone

I am all alone at baby's place right now.

Was freaking scary just now, When i left his place in the afternoon to go home for my reunion dinner, his parent room door was closed. I remembered that very clearly. But when i returned, the door was wide open.

I was so freaked out. Pls remember I am all alone in someone's place okay? Imagine how scared I was.

Sms baby and he called shortly saying that there is nothing to worry about as something like that happen before.. There is some problem with the door and it was open by itself when there is a strong wind.

Oh man.. Still a little scared but better.

Tonight wont be able to bring Jia back to my place to sleep, cuz tomorrow will be Chu Yi, I dont have time in the morning to bring her back to baby's place. It would be very rush. Poor her, she have to sleep alone tonight, so worried for her.

How man?? Scared that she might start howling.

Tsk, baby come home faster leh.....

Car wash and wax

Since I have a little bit of time right now and while waiting for baby to reach YongPeng (Johor) to get a prepaid card so that he can call and sms me, I am going to do some blogging.

So use to talking to baby everynight for at least a few hours before we sleep, I hate new years sometime. Although the Ang Bao part was rather tempting, but sian la, can only see baby on Chu Er.

And Ikea is sleeping over at my place tonight. And tomorrow morning, gonna walk her back to baby's place. I got the keys to his place la. Haiz... Bedok Reservoir to Hougang, wonder if I can really make it that far. Or rather can Ikea walk that far. And this whole sleeping over thing will repeat till baby come home. Mother doesnt want Ikea over the whole day cuz Ikea is too hyper active, she cant stand it.

Super sian leh.. Come back faster leh...

Anyway, something we did last week.

Initial place was to send the vehicle down to some car place to ask them to wax the van for the new year. But end up, we both agree that doing it ourselves will be a more economical and fun way, though more of the economical side la. Heh. We head down to Mustafa one night and bought all the necessary stuffs for the wax and started doing it a few days after.

So, we found ourselves a nice mutli storey carpark, park the van at the washing bay and started our long tiring "journey"

We even set up a little table to put all the car washing and waxing equipments. We look like a professional washer la. Hehehe. So funny.

Ohhh, ya, the night before, we froze a big bottle of mango cordial in the freezer. So in the morning, we can have cold mango juice thru out the whole day till the ice melts. Aint we smart? You got to give us credit for that man.. Super duper smart of us la. :p

The wax and spray detailer we bought.

Our pails of water from the dipenser.

We started for washing the vehicle first, then vacumming all the interior and finally the waxing part.

Goodness, it is not easy I tell you. All together, we spend a good 5-6 hours there doing everything. Waxing is the hardest and it takes up majourity of the time. We were so exhausted after that man.

But the results was very satisfactory. Its nice and shiny and we are both so proud of it.

But, we are both not going to do it again, its so tiring and tedious okay?
Next year, we are just going to send it to someone to do it for us.

Stories

I am so lazy to blog right now.

But here is some stories I got from my auntie's blog.

I find it rather meaningful, and thou I am not a Christian, I like it a lot.

So read on, its a little long, but its definitely worth your time.

Enjoy....

Two Horses

" Two Horses "

Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it.
From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing....

Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him. This alone is amazing.

If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field. Attached to the horse's halter is a small bell.

It lets the blind friend know where the other horse is, so he can follow.

As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see that the horse with the bell is always checking on the blind horse, and that the blind horse will listen for the bell and then slowly walk to where the other horse is, trusting that he will not be led astray.

When the horse with the bell returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, it stops occasionally and looks back, making sure that the blind friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges.

He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need..

Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives.

Other times we are the guide horse, helping others to find their way....

Good friends are like that... You may not always see them, but you know they are always there.

And remember...

Be kinder than necessary

Everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Live simply,

Love generously,

Care deeply,

Speak kindly......

Leave the rest to God

Excuse me are u Jesus??

"Excuse me, are you Jesus?"

A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in Chicago. They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night's dinner. In their rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly-missed boarding.

ALL BUT ONE!!! He paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned. He told his buddies to go without him, waved good-bye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor.

He was glad he did. The 16-year-old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her; no one stopping and no one to care for her plight..

The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket.

When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, 'Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?'

She nodded through her tears. He continued on with, 'I hope we didn't spoil your day too badly.'

As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him, 'Mister.... Excuse me,'

He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes.

She continued, 'Are you Jesus?'

He stopped in mid-stride, and he wondered. Then slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in his soul: 'Are you Jesus?' Do people mistake you for Jesus?

That's our destiny, is it not? To be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world that is blind to His love, life and grace.

If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would. Knowing Him is more than simply quoting Scripture and going to church. It's actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day.

You are the apple of His eye even though we, too, have been bruised by a fall. He stopped what He was doing and picked up you and me on a hill called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit.
